Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was last reviewed and confirmed to be accurate and applicable as of August 29, 2025. No changes to the policy have been made since its effective date, as the MD Reminder App has not been updated and continues to operate under the same functionality and data practices.

1. General Information

MD Reminder App (“we”, “our app”), developed by Ivanchik G (hereinafter “Developer,” “us”, “we”, or “our”), respects the privacy of users of our mobile application (hereinafter “App”) and is fully committed to protecting the personal information that users provide when using our App.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application, your rights, and options regarding it.

By downloading, installing, accessing, and/or using the App, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy, including the collection and processing of your personal data. If you disagree with any terms herein, you may not download, install, access, or use the App and must promptly and permanently delete the App from your systems and devices and cease all use thereof.

You are not legally obligated to provide us with any personal information. By providing personal information, you acknowledge and agree that you do so voluntarily for the purposes described in Section 4 below, and that we may retain such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws and regulations.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two types of data and information from our users:

2.1 Non-personal Information

Non-personal information is non-identifying and non-identifiable information that does not directly reference the user’s identity. This includes:

Technical data such as mobile device brand and model, operating system type and version, screen resolution, manual user settings, clickstream data, interactions and activities within the App, usage duration, timestamps, crash and error logs, etc.

2.2 Personal Information

Personal information can identify the user or may be identifiable with reasonable effort, either alone or when combined with other data. It may include private or sensitive information. This includes:

Contact data stored locally on the user’s device (e.g., address book data accessed with permission, such as contacts from third-party applications like WhatsApp). This data is not collected by us and remains stored locally to enable additional App features.
Specific contact details provided voluntarily when contacting us, along with any additional information related to such communications.
Other information related to actions taken by the user in connection with the App.

We do not collect any personal data without your consent, which is obtained through your active acceptance of the End User License Agreement (EULA) and this Privacy Policy.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect non-personal information through your use of the App, including data related to your interactions, either independently or with the assistance of third-party services as detailed below. Non-personal information may also be collected through the processing, analysis, and anonymization of personal information provided by you.

The App does not transmit personal information to third parties. All personal information collected is processed and stored exclusively on your device to ensure App functionality, performance, and optimization.

We store non-personal and personal information either independently or with the assistance of authorized third-party service providers, as detailed below.

4. Purposes of Information Collection

We collect non-personal and personal information to:

Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features, including for statistical and research purposes.
Develop, customize, and enhance the App based on common user preferences, usage patterns, characteristics, and anonymized data.
Provide anonymized, aggregated, statistical, and inferred non-personal information to our research and business partners.
Enhance user experience by delivering relevant and accurate information, services, features, functionalities, and technical support.
Comply with applicable laws.

We will not share personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

To satisfy applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, subpoenas, or governmental requests.
To enforce this Privacy Policy and/or the EULA, including investigating potential violations.
To detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
To respond to user support requests or other correspondences.
To address claims that App usage violates third-party rights.
To protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Developer, users, or the general public.
During a change in control, such as a merger, acquisition, or purchase of all or substantially all of the Developer’s assets.
To collect, hold, process, and/or manage personal information through authorized third-party service providers (e.g., Mixpanel’s mobile analytics platform) for reasonable business purposes, which may be located in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.
With your explicit approval before disclosure.
To cooperate with third parties to enhance the user experience.

The Developer may transfer and disclose non-personal information at its discretion.

6. Minors

To use the App, you must be over the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). We reserve the right to request proof of age to verify compliance. If we become aware of a user under thirteen (13) using the App, we may prohibit and block such user and promptly delete any related personal information.

7. Security

We implement and maintain industry-standard procedures and policies to ensure the security of the App and users’ personal information, preventing unauthorized use. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

8. Third-Party Software

The App uses third-party software and services to collect and process information, including:

Google Analytics: Used to collect and analyze user data. We adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement, which regulate the collection, use, and transmission of information related to Google APIs.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may offer links to third-party services installed on your device, through which you may interact with mobile contacts. These services are independent of the Developer, and we assume no responsibility or liability for their privacy practices or other legal matters. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies and terms of use of such third-party services, as their terms apply to interactions with or through them.

10. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

Disable Screen Lock: Allows notifications to be displayed when the screen is locked (configurable in the App’s notification settings).
Advertising ID Permission: Required for displaying advertisements within the App.
Run Foreground Service: Ensures timely notification triggering, whether the App is active or not.
Appear on Top of Other Apps: Enables full-screen notifications over other programs (configurable in App settings).
Reorder Running Apps: Allows rearrangement of full-screen notifications from foreground to background.
Run at Startup: Automatically launches the App (configurable through device settings).
Have Full Network Access and View Network Connections: Required for ad functionality.
Ask to Ignore Battery Optimizations: Ensures reminder activation under any conditions (configurable through device settings).
Prevent Phone from Sleeping: Enables notifications in sleep mode (configurable through device settings).
Display Notifications as Full-Screen Activities on a Locked Device: Configurable in App and device settings.
Show Notification: Core functionality for displaying notifications.
Read Your Contacts: Requested if you choose to grant access to contacts for adding phone numbers, names, avatars, or emails to notifications (essential for core functionality).
Read the Contents of Your Shared Storage: Required for adding background images, specific notification sounds, or attaching documents to reminders.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Substantial changes will be notified through the App and take effect seven (7) days after such notice. Other changes are effective as of the stated “Last Revised” date. Continued use of the App after the Last Revised date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
